HTML / Shockwave entries

Post 1

I am a Web and Multimedia developer, and I'd love to be able to include more than plain text for my user profile/journal entries/articles.

Can I submit my entries with HTML formatting, and if so, is there some way to upload images to accompany an entry;
and can I submit shockwave files? I would be happy to follow any style/format/file-size guidelines that pertain, above and
beyond the basic user agreement.

Thanks,

To follow up my own query -

It seems to me that the who problem of disk space for entries that include media like images,
shockwave movies, audio files, etc. can be addressed by insisting that such files not be uploaded
to h2g2.com, but should reside on the user's own web site, from which they can be accessed by
using an absolute URL (i.e. http://www.myisp.com/directory/file.ext).

That way, if I want to enhance my entry on, "Hamsters, Military Capabilities Of" with a 305k QTVR
of the patented HamsterTronic(TM) Missile Delivery System, I can waste my own disk space.

However, this may be a moot point, if html entries aren't interpreted as such...though I just recalled
that when I experimented with this before, I did not put the HTML tag at the top of my entry...
