I think the more appropriate term is "trusting", not "gullible"!

no. It's gullible. And I am hapy to say that, although a perpetrator of many such practical jokes, I have never fallen for one. However, this has gotten me into trouble when one place I worked actually _had_ a piece of equipment known as a large stand, and when they asked me to go and get it I refused!

Now, can you just pop down to the office and fetch me a box of nail-holes, please.

Never fallen for a practical joke? I don't believe it!

Could you go to this site for me please?

hmmmm.... I think I shall register that domain name....

I have never fallen for a practical joke because my father, unlike playing them on me, told me about every single one he played on everyone else. Oh, the hilarity.

I'd call it gullibility - consider this:
My Brother: I hear the word 'gullible' is going to be taken out of the dictionary.
Me: Really? Why?
My Brother: THINK about it..

Yes, one large sigh later, truth embarrassingly dawned.
