I've never been there, so can't add anything. I haven't yet read it all, either. It starts very well, tghhoughj, so I'll read more later.
I don't quite understand why I should expect church pictures or church gargoyles and reliefs. smiley - erm

Good work smiley - ok

"it is highly conspicuous by its architecture"
-->
"it is highly conspicuous due to its architecture"
or
"it is made highly conspicuous by its architecture"

"and the extremely long frontage"
-->
"and its extremely long frontage"

"Where presumably, you can see more skeletons." smiley - rofl

"resembles a large cathedral with honey and blue-coloured terracotta cladding"
-->
"resembles a large cathedral with blue and honey-coloured terracotta cladding" (unless of course it really is a cathedral with honey)

So here are some of the best bits; --> bits:

"the best positions being level with the T-rex head" --> T-Rex

"a trip through the Earth - via escalator" --> via an escalator

"and if seperating from a larger party" --> separating

"The station has plenty of signs to the museum, most pointing down a tunnel. Do not use it, even if it is open. It tends to smell of urine, and is a lot longer than you may think. The only occasion in which you may want to use it is when it is raining, but chances are that the tunnel will be flooded, and you will be forced to walk anyway."

smiley - erm In the parallel universe that I'm from, the tunnel is perfectly acceptable, is the quickest way there and is a must if you're trying to take a large group of people to one of the museums. The 'is a lot longer than you may think' bit doesn't really make sense, unless space time is warped outside of the tunnel so that you can walk to the museum more quickly above ground.

Not wishing to minimise Richard Owen's contribution - it is he we have to thank for the museum in the first place, and it is one of my very favourite places in the world - it does not house his dinosaur findings as such. Owen was not a fossil hunter, he was a comparative anatomist. It houses the fossil findings of Mary Anning, Gideon Mantell, and many other pivotal figures from the history of paleontology. Owen identified and catalogued such things, and coined the word dinosaur, but he did not find fossils, as far as I know.
