If I remember correctly you have been re-elected following the diffusing of the Kamino situation in which I supported the Republic against the wishes of the neutral Jedi Order. That means I am loyal to you Kellin, and have not attempted any assassination.

However, let's look at an alternative theory. My actions have made me unpopular in some quarters, including with the government of Kamino and different rogue elements throughout the galaxy. All it would take is for someone to acquire my genetic data, perhaps from the hand I lost on this very planet, take this to Kamino, create a clone and use that to eradicate you and implicate me.

*spreads arms in an almost pleading gesture*

How many of those planets have a black market? That could be from anywhere, and you only have two leads.
