New Republic Advisory Council...
Secretly Not Here Any More Posted Sep 30, 2003
Corellia: I move that the Jedi and the mercenary be held in custody until such a time as proper background checks can be run.

KELLIN: Tell me, boy. What is the history of that jedi which you keep? The *looks at paper* mercenary?

Asmodai Dark (The Eternal Builder, servant of Howard, Crom, and Beans) Posted Sep 30, 2003
Do you understand what it is i represent here. I am the embodiment of my order and the diplomat of a thousand souls who have given there lives to defending the order
*Pulls out of his sleves a holocorm, depicting the last stand of the jedi in attack of the clones, shows to all council members*
What i am showing you is a demonstration of loyalty to the senate. As you can see, we have defended you when you have asked, and died when you have asked it of us.
What was the point in all of that ladies and gentlemen if you are willing to throw it all away. No one man speaks for the senate, that is why i asked you each to speak in turn.
I am not a statesman. I am a knight. I serve the force, justice and the law. My duty is to protect them all.
When naboo was invaded, who came to your aid? Who came to protect your senator. We did this because we were asked. Our order gained nothing apart from one dead jedi, nothing else.
We have absolutely no intention of conflict with anyone apart from the sith. But then again senators, the sith are a threat to us all.
Now senators, you will each speak in turn so i can hear all your thoughts and opinions. Democracy is not just your voice Corellia.

NABOO: I say we don't hold anybody in custody, until we find evidence!

Secretly Not Here Any More Posted Sep 30, 2003
Corellia: Well that's one for and one against. Senators?

MON CALIMARI: The mercenary needs to be questioned but this jedi has done no wrong.
KASHYYYK: Woargh! (I agree with MC!)

KELLIN: Well he /has/ no respect for the Republic leaders.
New Republic Advisory Council...
Secretly Not Here Any More Posted Sep 30, 2003
Corellia: Quite right senator, and his manner is quite threatening.
New Republic Advisory Council...

KELLIN: What is it that you're actually /asking/ of the Council /boy/?
New Republic Advisory Council...
Asmodai Dark (The Eternal Builder, servant of Howard, Crom, and Beans) Posted Sep 30, 2003
I appologise senators my manner and tone were never meant to be threatening or disrespectful.
But it only reflects the seriousness of my purpose, and master gr'jars purpose, here.
Co'bal was a mercenary, but she has changed much since her time within the order. I would suggest, and it is only a suggestion, that you hear her speak first. People do not come to the jedi order on a whim, and nor do they come without some potential. Yes she may have done things wrong in the past, but her time within the order has changed her considerably.

I will choose my words carefully senators now because i do not wish to imply the wrong meaning.
Master gr'jar is imprisoned for claiming that the sith exist. The sith do exist. If you want proof i will find it, but i cannot do so alone.
The jedi have always been friends and allies of the senate, we mean no harm or disrespect, just unity and peace in the galaxy.

KELLIN: So you ask nothing and waste the Council's time.

Asmodai Dark (The Eternal Builder, servant of Howard, Crom, and Beans) Posted Sep 30, 2003
Chancellor Kellin, you know full well that is not what i meant. How many have your planets, your titles, you lives have been saved by that of a jedi? Master gr'jar is one of the heads of our order, you are holding him without proper reason.
New Republic Advisory Council...
[...] Posted Sep 30, 2003
KELLIN: I hold him with good reason! He is a revolutionist!
If you have nothing to ask of the Advice Council, we will adjourn!
Key: Complain about this post
