Being of slightly more than average height, I've always found it better to kneel in a canoe as a way of keeping my center of gravity lower...
I might also think you'd want to talk about the different strokes used in propelling a canoe but that's just my

you write "the canoe is known to be..." shouldn't it be conoeing? I know few people with the hobby of an object.
