There was something strange going on then... I had to counter a strong psychic force during your whole encounter... that's why I couldn't intervene further... whatever it was it wasn't bothered by the anti-magic building - you can't cancel psychic powers when they are refined to a certain degree...
I just can't place exactly what it was...
