Nope, no tags work at all.... Pity....
The reason behind it is: They don't want people putting loadsa huge pictures in forums, because the threads can't handle the data. And as long as HTML (or XML as it actually is) is enabled, then there is the risk of someone (probably me...) putting up an A4 sized pic...

I'm sure they'll get around to restricting certain tags, and allowing other's. But i'd prefer it if they allowed (maybe with size parameter restrictions.. or something) tags, so i could add my fish to forum postings....

Oooh.. that would be cool. Maybe they could even set up something like $myfish and gather all Fenchurch's and other's fishies into a database or something like that. Would take some coding to do that, I'd wager!

Not really, they've already got the code to do it, al la Shim, but will he release it for general use by all???? my guess: No....
Pity, i'd really like a Fish

Now I have twofish... The one Fen gave me and one I made that isn't up yet. (It probably will be when you get this.) ... I have to agree with (was it Fen that said?...) the theory that Shim's code checks the id and switches to [bluefish] ... Now that -would- take code to fix everyone with their own. Of course, the code is written, but it would take constant updating each time someone gets a fish. Of course, that could be automated. Okay, I'm rambling.

Yeah, i got two fish as well (both from fenny)
Yeah, i agree, the code checks who you are, and swops the yellow fish for a bluefish (providing you happen to be Shim, of course)
This shouldn't be too hard to do for everybody, after all, they manage it for homepages, and nicknames, and everything else.

Well, if shim will divulge the code, then it's quite probable, but the chances of him actually doing that, are nil minus one...

I dunno... Depends on how much they value the bloat factor and CPU useage. After all, they'd have to set up a complete linked database of what fish belonged to who, modify it each time someone new got a fish (or a new fish and wanted to change which one they used in forums, which -would- involve a bunch of new code blocks), and check against it each time someone typed > < > in a forum or journal entry.
It could be that it currently only runs that code at all if Shim is the one doing the posting. This could fairly easily be changed, I would imagine, though. I tend to think it might involve a bit more munging with the code than one tends to think.

Well, i'm not saying it won't be hard work (did i say that? ) but it is possible, and it'll certainly boost morale round here, while everyone is awaiting rejections....

I think i, at the tender age of 15, have had just about as much rejection in my life as i can sanely take.....
