Japan vs. China
boredom_amused Posted May 6, 2005
I feel like there's still a lot of ignorance about what Japan did exactly to the Chinese. Yah, internment camps are bad, but comparing the two experiences is apple and oranges. And yah, revisionist history is pretty standard, but what happened in China was really really horrific and playing it down is just unacceptable. The thing with the Japanese PM apologizing is that it's just lip service. There's been no reparations and only cover-ups and just more worshipping at the Yasakuni Shrine which is a huge slap in the face of all the victims.
Anyways, I should really get back to studying.

This isn't about what China did at the turn of the century, or about what Japan did 60 years ago.
They've found large natural gas deposits under the South China Sea, and this is about explotation rights for them.
