Screw Elvis???
Have a look at this:
"Elvis Presley tops dead rich list"
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/music/3953477.stm
"Elvis Presley has come top of a list of the highest-earning dead celebrities, with an annual income of $40m (£22m)."
Though the article doesn't say who is receiving all this cashola. In the case of Elvis it seems his daughter is his sole heir. But don't know about the others.

When something I had written appeared on a web-site I got exptremely peed off. People reading the article on the web-site were not about to go out and buy the book it was taken from.
The site owners argued it was only an extract from the book - I argued it was the entire article, had it only been part of the article I felt it could have been promoting sales, but as it was I disagreed.
When you copy something somebody has to buy, you are robbing that artist or author. Its all very well to talk about Robbie Williams, but what about - say Nick Drake - who won't be making any more albums, but whose estate is entitled to the money ?
