Well I skimmed the article b/c he wasn't really saying much except scare tactics, but basically he's saying by abolishing the electoral college in CA, the republicans could win hands down.
Except, the thing is, most states already have a clause in place that if X number of other states agree to switch to popular vote, that state will also switch.
The main point is this isn't a sneak tactic - it's been thought of before. So the whole article is just wrong.
