Chnei's Chambers
Secretly Not Here Any More Posted Feb 9, 2004
*enters and places Chnei on the bunk*
*notices the Sith lightsaber clipped to her belt and removes it*
Dangerous youngling. Dangerous....
*handles the 'Saber and then pockets it*
Chnei's Chambers
U521150 Posted Feb 9, 2004
*enters*
Are you sure relieving her of that won't aggravate her?
Chnei's Chambers
Secretly Not Here Any More Posted Feb 9, 2004
*shakes head*
Giving her a physical link to the Darkside is dangerous, this needs to be destroyed.
*sits on a chair and lights up a cigarra*
Now then, tell me everything you know of her situation....
*blows a smoke ring*
Chnei's Chambers
U521150 Posted Feb 9, 2004
Are you the one to do it?
*looks shocked and angry at self*
I'm...I'm so sorry Master...
Erm...I don't know much. Well, I know quite a bit. Before she, Jo'tra and Anoon went to Coruscant on a mission, both of us had been...troubled. She more than I, admittedly. We fought, we made up, but still throughout it all she had this underlying...well, quite vocal...problem. She didn't, couldn't, accept the fact that the light side was automatically the right thing to be. And I couldn't help her, because I wasn't wise or experienced enough...I only knew what I felt myself.
So without warning - to me at least - the three of them leave for Coruscant, I was never even told *why*...and then Jo'tra and came back, Chnei had been kidnapped by the Sith.
And from what little telepathic contact Jo'tra and I had from her...she's turned, hasn't she? Hasn't she!
*getting agitated*

*smiles disarmingly*
Relax Eland. And no, I won't be the one to destroy this... This thing. She will.
She has not turned yet, and even if she did, there is always a way back to the light. Even To'bru, blood kin of Master Gr'Jar had to be saved from the Dark Side.
Your agitation shows emotion that does you credit, but it also provides a crack in your defence through which a "Sith" could sway you two the dark side of the Force. It is important for you to stay as objective as possible. Without knowing it you are transmitting your negative feelings to Chnei, feelings which will do her more harm than good.
*takes a long drag from the cigarra*
Chnei's Chambers
U521150 Posted Feb 9, 2004
*looks shocked into calmness*
Master I...I had never thought about it like that. Not really. You're totally right, you know that?
*uses force to help stay the agitation and conflicting emotions*

In this case, I might be, but remember, never, ever trust someone due to rank. Master Anoon's master, Ma'rol Mannen went rogue, and she had to find out that even the Knights and Masters are fallible. Always trust your instincts and the Force, and never follow an instruction blindly.
You are still young and as such not as focused as some of those more experienced than you. It may not be practical to hide all your emotions, but always try to control them, not let them control you.
Chnei's Chambers
U521150 Posted Feb 9, 2004
Master Anoon had...mentioned her former Master. I remember when he left us, and left...Tobru...hurt in the hangar...
*shivers slightly*
Never follow an instruction blindly? *laughs a bit* It seems that I almost have the opposite problem to Jo'tra. But never mind that.

There's a fine line between questioning instructions and outright rebellion Eland, although I often cross that line myself.
So tell me about Jo'tra's problems. He seems supremely self-confident, a trait often mistaken by some as arrogance. I have noticed a slight arrogance within him, but he seems to have it in check....
Chnei's Chambers
U521150 Posted Feb 9, 2004
Jo'tra? Are you sure you should be talking to me?
*blushes*
Well...he's occasionally acted...strangely. Like, he wanted to talk to the council, ask some important philosophical questions, and to do so he dropped a rock on Anoon's head, stole her droid and marche din there, talked to them them asked forgiveness...why on earth, I don't know. And there was - no, I shouldn't be telling you that, I know. On Corellia...I wasn't there but he told me in confidence, so I'm sorry but...after it, he thought he wasn't worthy of being a Jedi. I told him...I reminded him that he was wrong.
And both of us started out along with Chnei. The three of us, together. All friends. It was great, fun, having companions. And so when he started his trial...Master Gr'jar asked him to fight and Jo'tra /refused/ outright, refused to start the fight, or to fight at all...I don't think he had his arrogance in check then. He told me he didn't think it was right, all that when Chnei was still in danger.
But...I don't know, I don't think that's at all right...being a Knight would help, I think, help us help Chnei. Because we'd be better at controlling ourselves, and trying to help turn her without having to destr - to hurt her.

Being a Knight doesn't magically grant you better abilities. It is a label, nothing more. It doesn't matter if you are a padawan, a Knight, a Master or even the head of the order, you can help Chnei by giving her a link to her past, and a link to the order. If anything one of you being made a Knight and sent to the far reaches of the galaxy may prove more harmful to her than good.
Obviously I was wrong about Jo'tra. He seems wracked by doubt, and I will speak to him when I have the chance. Refusing to fight is hardly what I'd call arrogance, although he seems to have focused a little too strictly on the pacifist sections of the Jedi code.
Chnei's Chambers
U521150 Posted Feb 9, 2004
Okay, maybe being labelled with the term 'Knight' doesn't give you better abilities but being at that skill level, say with the lightsaber...if she wanted to fight us, and somehow got a lightsaber...if we weren't very good, then surely we wouldn't have the control to subdue her without permanently harming her?
*voice drops to a whisper, she leans in a bit closer*
Jo'tra and I - we haven't told any of the other Masters, I doubt they would be pleased by it...but - we - he said to me that if Chnei left here he'd follow her try to help her, and I swore that I'd go with him. Go with Chnnei.
Is that bad? Good? Or is it beyond those labels?
*leans back, voice a bit louder*
Well, I think he might have, erm, insulted Master Gr'jar's lack of patience too. That's probably what he found arrogant.
Chnei's Chambers
Secretly Not Here Any More Posted Feb 9, 2004
*smiles*
Typical Mirig, never was big on patience. Even with me.
And don't worry, Chnei will stay here Eland. And if she goes and you don't feel confident in facing her, well, I can't exactly let two padawans challenge a darksider alone can I? And as for lightsaber skills, I've been matched by a padawan before, never beaten, but matched.
~~And whispering won't help in this place remember?~~

U521150 Posted Feb 9, 2004
*looks painfully embarrassed, flushing deeply*
I - Oh yes - um - anyway. Sorry?
*takes a few deep breaths and the colour clears from her face some*
To be fair sir, Jo'tra and I aren't technically Padawan...we're Jedi, but not yet Knights. But it's nice to know we wouldn't be alone even if it did happen.
Chnei's Chambers
Secretly Not Here Any More Posted Feb 9, 2004
Sir? I told you. My name is Annat. And I'm sorry, I meant two say two young Jedi...
Chnei's Chambers
U521150 Posted Feb 9, 2004
*laughs*
I'm sorry, Ma - Annat. I guess it slipped out. Respect for authority and all that...

Ancha Theri (Jedi Master) Posted Feb 10, 2004
*Ancha enters quietly. Nods a greeting*
Annat, Eland.
I do not wish to intrude but I sensed deep hurt and some Darkness here. Can I be of any assistance?

Cat-Eyes: No..... why.... ? Posted Feb 10, 2004
*wakes up*
*feels belt*
Where is it? What have you done with it?
*sees Annat*
But... you... you were on Hoth. I saw you there! You were there to help Master Rahig. Is he ok?
