I happened to have written my graduate thesis on time-travel and grammar. If you are interested in reading it, just email me and I will send it to you. My email address is:

It's best not to read it straight through, unless you have a background in linguistics BUT it's great to skim through. If you're just interested in looking at what "exotic tenses" would look like if based on English (and if they had developed naturally for English), you can just take a look at the last sections. I also discuss Douglas Adams' well-intended suggestions for modifiying English grammar for time-travel and why they don't fit what we know about language, especially English.
