I've got Doug Dastardly hooked as well! He has finally found a game where he can beat me (Not literally I hasten to add!)

Merkin Posted Jul 14, 1999
Now kiddys, there's nothing wrong with a good beating, given the right musical accompaniment and mood lighting . Is Doug going under his h2g2 moniker or has he chosen a more covert title?

Ginger The Feisty Posted Jul 14, 1999
He has chosen his yahoo name which is Hiker_Doug. All this nameing and renaming business is very confusing!

Geronimo is a friend of mine from work, so don't you go throwing stones at her pig!

Merkin Posted Jul 14, 1999
There seems to be a serious proliferation of Gingers on Pooh's Bridge! A sense a Ginger conspiracy for Pooh domination...

Red Posted Jul 14, 1999
Hey - i found the bridge!
We are waiting for one more person!
And I'm ginger too, but go by the imaginative name of red!

Merkin Posted Jul 14, 1999
Sorry, I was out to lunch, literally as well as mentally. Will catch you there later

Merkin Posted Jul 14, 1999
That's not very fair, is it. I wonder how it actually works, and whether it has anything whatsoever to do with what you throw or how you throw it? Or maybe everyone's just ganging up on your stick and dunking it

Red Posted Jul 14, 1999
er, yeah, i hate to be the bearer of bad news, but ginger the love godess is last, and red came in a skillful 4th!

Merkin Posted Jul 14, 1999
The force was not with Darth Merkin in that game either. Let it's scoreboard never darken this place again. I'm very happy for chocolate ginger, as long as I make it into the top 5.

The man in the shack Posted Jul 14, 1999
Hello all.
Now you may or not know this, but the bridge where Pooh invented the game of Pooh sticks in the house at pooh corner actually exists.
A.A Milne wrote the books in a farmhouse in the Ashdown forest, Sussex, and all of the places he described are real and can still be seen to this day.
Maybe a knockout contest of Pooh-sticks on Pooh bridge would be a good idea for an H2G2 event?
