Campaign to bring back the 'Infinite Improbability Drive' Button
Created | Updated Apr 26, 2006
Hey ! Did you help bring back the 'Infinite Improbability Drive' Button? Great job if you did!!
It was noted that the h2g2 Front Page no longer HAD an 'Infinite Improbability Drive' button. Instead it WAS replaced by the altogether infinitely boring 'Random Edited Entry' button!
Concerned Researchers voiced the opinion that this simple change may have been the first in what could become actions that would in turn sap the h2g2 site of its original quirkiness, thus making us forget our identity as the alternative Guide to Life, the Universe & Everything. The motto of the campaign -
We demand rigidly defined areas of doubt and uncertainty!
Many Researchers (in fact too many for us to be bothered counting!) added their names to the petition to bring back the 'Infinite Improbability Drive' button, and restore some of the spirit of Douglas Adams and the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy to the place on the web we call hootoo, as imagined by the man who came up with the idea in the first place!
AND IT WORKED!!
The Infinite Improbablity Drive button returned!!
