My pet hate is people who assume that:

1. Because someone has just got married, they will want (and be physically and financially able) to have children *immediately*!

2. My decision about whether or not to have children has anything to do with them. I can just about excuse such curiosity in my mother and grandmother, but what the **** has it to do with a volunteer at work who I have met once before?!

Ahem. Thank you. I feel better for that.

How 'bout this one. My mom is 77. Unfortunately, I live in the same house with her. I take care of the bills through several accounts that we have. I'm 52 years old.

My mother opens my mail. She says she's looking for her bank statements. We have three accounts, two are in my name, one is in her name and my name. She says to me "how am I supposed to know if it's yours?" Duh...if it has my name on it, don't open it! She is SOOOOO noisy, I'm lucky I have any privacy at all!
She has always been a control freak, and some things never change, no matter how old the "child" is. But I love her just the same...Barb
