Precision and Accuracy

This will be an entry aimed at the EG about precision and accuracy.

An example

If you take a class of third graders to an apple1 tree and ask each one of them to count how meny apples are on the tree, you will get a varaity of answers.

The precision of this test is the measure of similiarity of the defferent kids' answers.

The accuracy is how close these counts are to the actual umber of apples on that tree.

Things get a bit more complicated then that
1For no apperant reason at all, meny times scientific terms are explained by explaining a similiar concept relating to Apples Lemons or Oranges.
