very informative! I'll try to catch any errors in it...smiley - smiley

"and is probably most famous as the legendary discoverer, at Golgotha in 326AD, of the 'True Cross'"

might read better as "and is probably most famous for the legendary discovery at Golgotha..."

"There are getting on for eighty variant forms of Helen"

do you mean "there are going on eighty variants of Helen"? "there are almost eighty variants on the name Helen"?

"There are various places named after Saint Helena"

you missed the volcano Mt. Saint Helens, in Washington (state)

"and, somwehere around 270 or 280 she either had..."

should be "somewhere", and either a comma after 280 or no commas at all

"Maximians"

? --> '

"became an influential protectress of the Christian church, including converting her son"

perhaps "...protectress of the Christian church, for instance converting her son" or simply "...Christian church, converting her son"

"due to the construction of the temple to Venus and Jupiter constructed in 135 AD"

you could remove the 'constructed'

Near the end of the section on "The True Cross" the paragraphs become short enough that you could turn that into a list of interesting facts or something (if you like)

"She was revered as a saint; and the veneration"

; ---> ,

"There was a King Coel who was King"

the second 'King' shouldn't be capitalized

Phew! You've got a very well-researched and complete article. Hope you get in!smiley - biggrin

Ah, here's what I wrote on Post 9 of the PR thread:

'I was almost kicking my self for not mentioning Mount St Helens as I was only discussing this with Leo Alpha in another context a few days ago. However, when I went to check on the origin of its name, it wasn't that easy to find. Eventually founbd it on Wikipedia which says it was named after a Lord St Helens'.

Great! Sorry, I was going to check up on the origins before I posted that, but I didn't. I would have typed it in on Google, shouldn't be that hard. I'd imagine it's pretty famous after the eruption in whenever-it-was (the 80s?)

typing in 'mt st helens name' got me there on the second or third link:

http://vulcan.wr.usgs.gov/Volcanoes/MSH/description_msh.html

"Mount St. Helens was named for British diplomat Alleyne Fitzherbert (1753-1839), whose title was Baron St. Helens."

So he was probably baron of a place named after the saint...

Well, entry looks good now. I'll cross me fingers for you.smiley - smiley
