I've finally recovered enough from this years event to complete this entry. (Don't get the wrong idea, I didn't compete - I help out with the timekeeping!)

If you notice any resemblance to the 70wildmiles website, it's OK - I wrote that too.

This is an excellent entry and I can't understand how it slipped under the radar of all the Scouts and PR regulars (including myself ).

Actually Gosho, I was taking it as something of a compliment. I thought that if nobody could find anything to complain about, then perhaps I was finally managing to write an entry without too many mistakes!
