Oh and can we get rid of old entries in the flea market which have now got edited entries on? e.g. pencil and pizza.... it would save a lot of upset I think

If you want to take on an entry that's in the Flea Market Opti, you have to post to its Flea Market conversation when you decide to start work on it, and again when (or if) the entry is recommended by a Scout and sent to a Sub-editor. The reason that the Flea Market needs to be cleared of entries which have already made it into the Edited Guide is that almost no-one does this.

You're quite welcome. If you're going to be an active member of the entry-writing portion of the h2g2 community it's good to learn about all the ins and outs of the process.

I'm curious as to why you're thinking twice about taking the entry on though.

As for rethinking this entry I just think someone maybe a bigger fan of the Beano than me and they should do it. If the fleamarket was cleaned up maybe people would be quicker to snap dusty entries up especially those who are big fans.
