doom and gloom

My reading of all this doom and gloom is that our French friend has been much misinterpreted and that even when not his writings are about as vague as your average horoscope in the Sun. In short on the grounds that he failed to predict any better than I can that 'some disaster' will happen next Tuesday week, I see no reason for expecting that the end is on us. As to the error between the counting systems, I'm not to sure on that, I thought that after the reformation we have all be basically on the Gregorian calendar (13 century) ish

A small religious sect said the end of the world was going to happen at the turn of last century. It didn't but it did leave us with Jehovah's Witnesses.
