How to purchase a time machine

Buying a time machine is easy:

1) Look in a good hiding place and remove the chequebook concealed there.

2) Cash one cheque for a large sum.

3) Look up 'Time Travel' in the Yellow Pages. With a second cheque purchase a time machine from the dealership.

4) Travel back in time and open a bank account with half the cash.

5) Use the rest of the cash endow a foundation to research and develop time-travel. If you are cunning, and brough enough cash with you, you could also establish the time machine dealership.

6) Hide the chequebook in the place you found it.

7) Return to present day.

Simple.
