I remember promising to wait for spimcoot when he disappeared into the gents at the end of the evening - but we all were evicted before he reappeared and was never seen again... perhaps he's still in there?

Nope, Spimcoot took Munchkin and Toccata back to his and fed them gratuitous amounts of whiskey. I went back to the hotel. Seeing the state they them the next morning, I think I made the correct choice

Spimcoot managed to avoid the hangover - he spent Sunday with us ('us' being the 'Brum lot'), including a visit to a rather fine drinking establishment... and a game of scrabble!

Ahah! So Coelecanth, TowelMaster and I were the sensible ones going back to Peta's to drink 
then? We avoided having a hangover as well! 
The journey back to Holland was a different matter entirely, of course!

Pretty good. Everyone was coming back from the Lake district, so I could feel suitably smug zipping past them all in the other direction 
So it only took about 7 and a bit hours. I've never driven through Birmingham so fast before...

ah! So that's why Toc was in an unfit state to meet for lunch on Sunday. And thought it was just the gin that did it...I really should have known better!
Anyway. Thanks very muchly for such an excellent day to all who organized and attended....even though I did slope off at a silliy eary hour.
So what did EV do then????!!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
