What's right with beards.
There a sign of laziness, ie not bother to shave.
They make most men look older.
They give a nasty 'tickle' against nice soft female skin

OK - this argument is much easier to rebut than Fox Hunting:

But Shark and myself both have goatees. We still shave.

Fine by me - I'm certainly not going to shave mine off after one negative report from someone who's never met me. Certainly a few Reasearchers have had a positive word to say about it.

I don't *think* it makes me look older...Not shaving for days does that, but the beard doesn't. Longer hair makes me look older as well.
