abbi normal "Putting on the Ritz" with Dr Frankenstein

Hmm the French way sounds more appealing to mesmiley - smiley Well at least in the 1950's and 60's. Do you suppose things have changed much?

Boots

One other use for gutta percha. To tape flower stems and thus prevent the sap and moisture from secreting.(used in buttonholes, brides bouquets etc) Obviously a finer product than the one used for cables but strange how life is a never ending circle... from sap to sap...bizarre! Always look forward to this read.

(If you never learn to do any other smilies, you really MUSTlearn that one; do come across to my space for the idiots guide to smilies; as for Unguided ML; it's a bloody mystery to me too; I just whimper till someone else does it for me!)

Merci beaucoup for the kind words, I am just about to go & seriously lurk your column too; having had a quick whizz around your space.

By the way, I too use the Friends list unashamedly, hence you have been added; feel free to do likewise!

Reality Manipulator

bonjour Terri & Yoda, useless hound

The British Isles including Eire have had alot of French influence. There are quite alot of Families that were descended from the Normans. In the Channel Islands French is spoken as second language and I have heard that on Sark they use an Old French dialect. So really you cannot say French is a foreign language if it is spoken in the channel islands as a second language. In our language there are alot of French derived words and we also have quite alot of French phrases in our language. In Pride and Prejudice the character Mr Darcy comes from an old Norman astrocratic family.smiley - smiley
