This essay started out as an argument with a USAn in another forum. It was a little less serious than it is here. This is intended as a light introduction to politics for anyone who knows less than me.
I am not pro Labour or anti Conservative although it does seem it. I don't believe in democracy. So colour me neutral. Any angst I have against Margaret Thatcher is due simply to the way she wore that stupid # smile all the # time. I thought she was a smug liar. (As opposed to the rest of the liars.)
If Roy Jenkins had been around to have had his bum kicked I'd have done a job on him too!

Clive Jenkins I mean (I beg your pardon Mr Jenkins.) He had a sneering Uriah Heap way of talking that would give dandruff goosebumps. And as the counterpart to "her" that he was, you could not reason with him. He would not let anyone have their say.
I think he had a mental defect that prevented him from seeing what a total # he was.
