I am opening this thread as I am extremely intrigued by this writing. I shall have to return when I have more time and add some words of wisdom
For now I can only suggest a seperate entry tied to this high-lighting how many pagan traditions, as it were, have been assimilated into many of the major faiths of today, namely Christianity. That is an aspect I like of the human path to understanding and how dogmatic practices cunningly used paganism against the pagans to entice them to convert. I ramble now, perhaps I'll do a little research to show my meaning.

That would be a separate entry, though a useful one if you could scourge up the citations, at current, this entry itself will be split up into seprate ones itself so that each path links back to this as a main one.
