I'm currently accessing the web through the Screaming.net service provided by LocalTel in the UK. It's crap, slow and frustrating, but at off-peak times it's free! There is no call charge for Internet calls to their service weekdays from 6pm - 8am, plus all weekend. As a bonus, switching to LocalTel reduces all other call charges by 10% compared to BT. I'm not a paid lackey - the service IS shite, but it's free, and at the moment that's all I can afford... Check it out by following the LocalTel link from www.Screaming.net

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
