Gonzo Journalism

A form of journalism invented and kept alive mainly by Dr. Hunter S. Thompson, who never earned an actual doctorate in anything and was thrown out of journalism school at an early time.
The main objective of the gonzo journalist is to completely ignore any form for actual assignement he is given, and rather partake in a frenzy of drugs, alcohol and mindless violence, just to write of his experience and harass american politicians on the way downhill from the drug.
This form for journalism has, strange enough, never made it into mainstreem american newspapers, although in many cases it would have been a definitive improvement.
