Well, someones got to be the first to discuss this, it may as well be me, since who else has such a vested interest?
(anyone who can draw a cartoon of a vested interest wins a prize!)
So, I am now the proud owner of an archive. Jolly good, smacks deliciously of crypts, tombs, etc.
Enid would be so proud of me.

Yes - and you'll amazed at how quickly the page spreads ever downwards!
As you say, the word 'archive' smacks of all things neglected and given over to the spiders, but I am reliably informed that <./>ThePost</.> archives are quite regularly plundered by more literary visitors.

I know that I for one have read a good deal of the archives. I'm working on archives for the UnderGuide and am... borrowing some... ideas.
Borrowing. Really, I'll give them back when I'm done

This is all very reassuring; I am actually doing some serious archive lurking myself as it happens!
As you say, it seems to be us literary types who get up to this sort of thing; no doubt the only form of relaxation our fevered brains will allow us after the ultimate release of passing on our latest creative soul purging to shazz.
All I can say shazz, is you must be a hell of a strong person to be able to shoulder the burden of all this talent being sent your way; I suppose having Greebs around helps a little though. And pickled onions of course.

I think I've read every single cartoon that's been through the post archives. From ANTics to Wowbagger. All brilliant (Especially my two )
I'm impressed by the archives of the post. My current UnderGuide ideas on basing the categories on a similar format of the Life the Universe and Everything system seems... boring. It'll probably end up being similar to yours, though I obviously won't steal outright
