So many people helped me to give up self harming, so thus entry was basically made to help other people. I want to help like people have helped me

There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho

Hello Catwoman.

Firstly, well done for staying 'clean' for 24 weeks smiley - biggrin
Secondly, well done for choosing the Writing Workshop for your entry - it's exactly the right review forum for it right now smiley - ok

I really hope that this entry can find a niche somewere on h2g2. It's already a part of h2g2 and always will be as long you don't delete it, but it would be good to find a higher profile for it - I'm sure it would be helpful for any other self-harmers.

At the moment it's a very personal account, which would prohibit it from being picked by a Scout for the edited Guide because of all the first person references, but I feel that that aspect of it could be re-written without losing any impact. There's always room for a certain amount of personal reference in an edited entry if it's put into blockquotes and described as 'One Researcher's experience', which to be honest is a description I've personally always found a little clumsy smiley - erm

If you want to leave it as it is then I'm sure that it would be welcomed for publishing at <./>The Post</.>

Anyone else got some suggestions for Catwoman? smiley - smiley

I agree - I think the Post is a good place for this. I think anything that would help others understand self-harm is very useful indeed. My neighbour at university was self-harming, and at 18 years old I wasn't really well equipped to cope with it. I didn't realise that it was different from attempted suicide!

Gnomon - time to move on

It is possible to write extremely personal accounts and have them entered into the Edited Guide. For example A602876 "My Life with a Cyst on My Brain".

I think this entry contains important information which should be in the Edited Guide. If the personal parts are made into Block Quotes, the whole thing could make a very good Entry.

If it goes into the Post, people will read it for a week and then it will be forgotten about.
