Here is link to an article about a new video of a virus attacking a E. coli bacterium.

The article was apparently written by a germaphobe. Both the virus and the bacterium are villians according to the writer.
I recently read a fascinating article about the use of bacteriophages as an alternative to antibiotics and it sounded very positive. However because of how the US Federal Drug Admin. works it is very unlikely that the necessary research will be done to develop this. The Soviet Union did a lot of work on this, but now most of their samples are being destroyed through neglect along with the knowledge base. Oh, well.
