I've done my best to remove dead links and alter the descriptions to the past tense. Let me know if I've missed any.

I think you should give higher priority to the closing of the site, instead of hiding it in the second section. You could put:

The Celebdaq site was operated by the BBC from July 2002 until it finally closed in early 2010.

This could be in the first section.

I've added the dates after the first mention of Celebdaq.

Hmm. I'm not quite sure on that one, RTG. It makes sense to me as it stands. If you're insistent, then I'll change it, of course. But I'm not entirely convinced it needs changing.

I thought 'pick the right person' was present tense that's all. I know when we talk we tend to mix tenses but it just looked odd to me when it was written down. Still, it's your Entry.

Nice update I used to play, and they did the traditional Beeb thing of updating it and making it shiney, then deciding soon after it no longer fitted with their streamlined, 'avoid more budget-freeze' view of the future. Shame really, it was a nice diversion.

It was closed because other online services complained that it was stealing their market.

The new Eds have never processed an Update, so it'll be an interesting experience for us. I'll try and have a look at this later today.

Sounds good, personally i like updates since i tend to go read the whole entry, i might go do a couple since there are no flea market topics that i attach to.
