If you are going to buy a dehydrator, there are round ones and square ones.
Normally, the round ones have the heater and possibly a fan at the bottom, and the square ones have the heater and a fan at the back. If you want to keep changing the position of the trays to get an even dry, buy one with the heater at the bottom. But, if you want to put the food in to dry, and not have to keep moving it, buy one with the heater and fan at the back.
The fan at the back, blows horizontally over all the trays without having to move them, and therefore the food dries more evenly.
