I have so enjoyed reading your experience of Briancon. no "cedilla" on my computer!! I was amused at your translation of the wrong pronounciation - I thought it meant something much worse, !!

My maternal grandparents were from Provence, and both my late husband an I loved going to Vence which is lower but also in the region I believe.

I am too old to ever go again, and so your lovely account of your meals and the hotels and the srroundings filled me with glee and joy.

Thank you so much for enjoying and loving la belle france, as much as I do. As I am watching the Tour de france avidly, I shall look out for their visit to the area - if the route goes through Briancon this year. What a wonderfl scenic tour of France we have had this year,.
