Buffy the Vampire Slayer

I was watching said Buffy with my three-year old cousin, and he asked me why she was so strong. "She was walking along the road when a truck full of dangerous chemicals crashed beside her. The chemicals (which were orange) seeped through her skin, causing her cells to mutate and enpowering her with super-strength," I replied. "What does 'mutate' mean?" asked the cousin. "It means that her genetic code changes so that instead of being a nice, normal girl, she turns into a ravening monster in the skin of a girl," I answered. "Monsters are cool. Can we play with my Pokemon cards now?" he queried. The answer: "Why don't you go and ask Alex to play with you instead?"
