When does old age begin?

I wandered the world as a soldier in the days of Empire, sat late into the night discussing painting and poetry during an incarnation as a painter/poet in Worpswede N Germany and been degraded by illness and mental trauma that was eradicated by major heart surgery six years ago.I was given a new lease of life and now renew my artistic and literary energy through a web site that I built and run successfully experimenting with collaboration between artists, poets and composers. All around me I see people long in years who have lost the ability to reject the anonynimity that society imposes upon them, what a waste of knowledge and talent there must be out there.I know there are organisations like the U3A but there is nothing that can spark the revolution that is required, when will "the elderly, senior citizens" realise it intellect and brains that matter not mobility?.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
