The man who turned round while in the southern ocean section of the Vendee Globe single handed yacht race and went to rescue fellow competitor Raphael Dinelli.
He also stuck his neck out and built a revolutionary design of catmeran for 'The Race' - a no holds barred round the world yacht race. Unfortunately for him and his crew it was too revolutionary in design and materials and didn't even make it to the start line
