A 'noogie' is when you make a knuckle and rub it vigorously in another's scalp, usually accomplished when you friendly-like wrap your one arm in a headlock and use the other fist for a brief, knuckled scalp rubdown. More embarassing than painful, it is usually deployed by teenagers to show affection.

Well that saves me the effort of making the point, but the question remains... why the heck did limp bizcuit(sp?) decide to sing "I did it all for the noogie (yeah) the noogie (yeah) so you can take the cookie..." etc. ?

hummmmm.....a fair question. immediate response from this poster is that it was limp and somebody else was going after the bizcuit, but that's only a guess, y'understand ?

Desperately trying to steer the conversation away from something very gross, but silly old me has only just realised why they're called Limp Bizkit. In the UK, we might well refer to 'soggy biscuit' in the same way.
Please note: Anyone who goes to the trouble of explaining this in detail may well get their posting failed for sexual content, so I wouldn't risk it if I were you...

Erm, Jim, I haven't the foggiest what you're talking about... Could you explain it for me?

I think you'll find the answer somewhere in your nearest non-BBC search engine. I'm *really* not going to be drawn into this.
As I said at school...

i have nothing further to add, either......except giving them is better than getting them, and always be careful of retaliation and/or revenge.
further this poster sayeth not.

I'm not convinced that this is where limp bizcuit got their name from... I suspect it's something similar but unrelated.
And while we're skirting around topics we don't intend to go into... that game is called soggy biscuit here too. I've actually met a woman who was nicknamed 'biscuit'... aparrantly because she played to lose.
I blame the parents.

Err, how do girls play it? I've also thought of it as being a rather exculsively male pass time...
To return to the original, less seedy point, in Derbyshire a noogie is known as a cheesegrater.

Never heard it called a cheesegrater; I can see why though - makes sense.
Um. Females play it pretty much the same as the males... essentially. Basically it's understood that there is no possible way for them to 'win'. Or at least, they can't possibly avoid losing.
And that's about as much as I want to say about that topic.
So... how about that local sports team then?
