Me too!
I say I have agorophobia, but I am fine in open spaces it going out and dealing with people that keeps me inside. I have made many friendships here though, which have enriched my life. You do need to have friendship on some level.
Even now, I go out and try with friends and usually come home and think 'not again'!

Thats funny, I get on better with men than women. Men except my problems and are okay about it, women want to cure me and help me and generally terrify me. Plus generally I find women to be more bitchy, you know where you are with men, you can have a good chat about the latest in New Scientist, and the cute girls walking by.
Don't have much to say to women! Not into fashion, celebrities or discussing men. I know there must be women into intelligent conversation somewhere, but I havn't found them yet!
I understand that many people are scared of men because of quite valid reasons though. I am sorry that you feel that way, it sounds as though its not something you can help at the moment though.
Good luck at trying.
