A Conversation for Fears and Phobias and How to Deal with Them

Were the comments throughout the article about the phobias being stupid really neccessary? I frankly found them insulting.
For some people, posting their phobias must've been a show of trust in the h2g2 community, and I know if I'd posted my own phobia, I'd've felt that trust was broken by the way this article was written.

I have to agree. It was interesting to read what other people have phobias of, from the well-documented (like agoraphobia) to the rather more distinctive. However, the ridicule was unprofessional at best and cruel at worst. Perhaps a bit more editing is in order? The rest of the entry is fine apart from those comments.

As one of the contributors to this, I know my fear is totally irrational, I don't find it funny when people mock me or try and 'help' me when I'm in a panic situation. Having said that I didn't find the comments at all insulting. If I'd been that sensitive I wouldn't have contributed.
