Elly
Thank you very much for this very precise and clear entry. I have been interested in dreams for many years now and it is quite a breath of fresh air to read about how the mind mainly focuses on itself and symbolises subconciously, events that have already happened; rather than ones that are about to happen.
Most people who follow dreams, do so because they believe that they have some prophetic meaning. While I don't totally discard this theory I have yet to find evidence of it myself.
There are some very famous "dreamers" who you might like to research: Napoleon being of particular note, (he even had an entire oraculum made up to interpret his dreams) and Hitler being another.
All the best - and keep dreaming. H.G.

Thanks, HG-
I did have some prophetic dreams, but if you think about it, it's usually signs that your brain picks up while you're awake and you don't even notice.
I follow dreams because they tell me about myself- I can even categorise the most normal, frequent ones, for example: I go back to my military service when I feel unappreciated, 'coz that was a point in my life I felt important and significant. Or go back to highschool when I want to reverse time and be more free of obligations.
I'm definitely going to keep on dreaming.
Did you ever write your dreams down?

Not for a while, but I used to do, as you do, and keep a note book next to my bed .
There was a time when I had an episode of deja vous and was convinced I could pinpoint the dream it came from. When I got back to my notes though, I couldn't find anything. Possibly it wasn't vivid enough for me to remember it at the time.

Deja vous are confusing. I find I have more of them when I work on my dreams.
Hormone induced dreams are weird- mt pregnancy dreams were totally different to my normal ones...
