A Conversation for Sonnets in English Literature

Perhaps what's great about Sonnets...

Sonnets actually allow one's mind to concentrate on the point one is trying to make, at the metaphorical picture one is trying to paint. Free verse poetry can drag on, but the sonnet form forces the mind to say exactly what it has to say. In my experience, at least, writing a sonnet makes a situation clearer, to the reader and the poet.

Poetry is emotional, but a sonnet is formatted to make it logical. The logic distracts the mind so the emotional content can get to the heart. Like yin and yang, the head and the heart both work together when you make a sonnet.

Just further analysis, by the way. You gave a great introduction; I was just adding to your genius.
