A Conversation for Nurture vs Nature - Cloning a Football Team

John Locke

This was an interesting article, left it very open though at the end.

The thing that did catch my eye was the mention of John Locke and what I assume to be the more nurture side of the debate. An enigmatic character called John Locke has been included in the recent hit series "Lost". A survival expert who was paralised until the plane crash restored the use of his legs. His psycology is interesting, believing the island has a "will" and he has a destiny. He is being gifted with prophetic visions. But in many ways he is unhindged and was clearly suffering with problems accepting his disability before the crash. A fatalist approach is verging on the side of "nature" a kind of irony for his names sake.
