The first one was taken six months ago, and featured a pair of swans on the Charles River. The leaves were green, the flowers were in bloom, and all seemed right with the world.
In the second photo, the swans are still there, but it is cold. You can see remnants of snowstorms on the far shore.
In the third photo, you can see the ice that has formed along the bank of the river. Yep, it's been mighty cold.
