The Whole of the Moon
You saw the whole of the moon… Mike Scott You've probably noticed that our planet is going through some hard times right now. There's real suffering out there this summer, and real death. People are struggling through medical, personal, and financial crises. Those of us of whom nothing more is asked than to stay out of the way, wear a mask to protect others, and keep ourselves usefully occupied are trying our best to be helpful and supportive. Which is a reasonable introduction to the contents of this week's issue: instead of grumping about, Post contributors are looking, and listening, and thinking about it all. We're trying to get an overview by paying attention to detail. Maybe this way, we'll see the whole of the moon. We're pottering about in nature. We're using our imaginations. We're working on our human skills, and picking up power tools and pens and computer keyboards and paintbrushes and musical keyboards. And if we get a bit desperate sometimes, we can always go out and howl at the moon. At least we'll see it. We have good Stuff for you this week. Amazing stuff. So incredibly amazing that I'd better get the descriptions over with so you can hurry and enjoy it all. ![]()
We hope you enjoy this issue. We hope it distracts from pain and soothes jangled nerves. We hope it makes you laugh. If so, please share with friends – we like new readers. Send us your public art stories and photos. And have a good week!
Quote of the Week: Well, I mean, yes idealism, yes the dignity of pure research, yes the pursuit of truth in all its forms, but there comes a point I'm afraid where you begin to suspect that the entire multidimensional infinity of the Universe is almost certainly being run by a bunch of maniacs. Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
