You can tell it has been a long wait since pay day when your fridge, while not actually bare per se, contains no more than:

  • Superglue
  • Irn Bru
  • A slice of cheese
  • After-sun1
  • Tomato puree
  • Salad cream
  • Half a tin of baked beans
  • Margarine spread
  • An onion

This raises the question: is it red or white wine with after-sun and superglue?
