A Conversation for Jadis, the White Witch - a Character in CS Lewis's Narnia Stories

Great entry as ever Gnomon,
I was always fascinated by the Narnia stories as a child when I first read the books, but my favourite book was always The Magician's Nephew. The portrayal of Jadis in that was fantastic and I remember my Primary school teacher telling us that the Deplorable Word was an allegory for nuclear weapons. Why no one has ever filmed it is beyond me. It is definitely overdue a TV or film treatment. I understand that tere are still talks to start a new set of Narnia films, although there always are(!), so hopefully they finally get round to adapting one of my favourite childhood books.

No films could've been made between October 2014 and October 2019 because of the terms of the estate of CS Lewis' contact with Walden Media - that had to run out before the estate could approach anyone else. But now Netflix have the rights to Narnia I imagine they'll be keen to do something with it, hoping to make something to rival 'Game of Thrones' success. We'll watch this space.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
