Not far away, people had so much snow there was the highest Lawinenwarnstufe (avalanche warning level), and further to the west many couldn‘t leave their villages because of the snow (like 1m snow per night). Some tourists died because they didn‘t take it seriously.
Always take snow seriously, folks. Especially in Austria.
