#4: Of His Own Vole-ition

Vole by Chris Morris

Chris Morris writes:

The very Small World of my back garden supports a population of these little things, which I think is a Bank Vole (Myodes glareolus) rather than a Field Vole (Microtus agrestis). One interesting little problem they suffer from is that they seem to collapse from exhaustion every few hours, generally along the path the foxes use. Sometimes I rescue them and put them somewhere safe (bad anthropomorphising human that I am) until they revive and carry on foraging.
